Dr. Jeff Kunkel grew up in the Pacific Northwest in Spokane, WA.  He went onto college at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where he graduated with a BS in Biology.  In 2005 he graduated from the UCLA School of Dentistry.  Following dental school Dr. Kunkel completed a year long residency at the University of Utah Hospital gaining advanced training in various dental specialties.  Dr. Kunkel then practiced family dentistry for an additional three years where he realized his interest was working with children.

Dr. Kunkel attended the University of Tennessee in Memphis for a two year pediatric dental residency and a Richard C. Pugh Achievement Award recipient. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and board certified with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

As the father of five children, one of which has developmental dental problems, Dr. Kunkel understands and appreciates the difficulty of keeping a child’s teeth healthy.  For most children, going to the dentist is scary.  Dr. Kunkel has the experience and skill set necessary to provide the best possible treatment for your child while helping them feel comfortable.

When Dr. Kunkel is not at the office, he is busy with his five children and wife Rachelle, a homemaker, labor and delivery nurse, diving coach and former Olympian.  The Kunkel family enjoys going to the surrounding national parks, ocean, hanging out with family and friends and watching movies.
