COVID-19

May 15, 2020

To: All of our amazing patients and their families:

Hello everyone. We are very excited to announce that beginning Monday, May 18th, we are now able to return to providing routine dental care while implementing some safeguards mandated by the state. We will be providing the same great service and kid friendly environment you have come to love and expect from us, but there will be some noticeable changes in our offices in order to comply with state COVID-19 regulations. This past week we have been reaching out to patients who had appointments cancelled during the past two months to try to prioritize your appointments first. We have not been able to connect with everyone but will continue reaching out. If we haven't been able to connect with you, and you would like to be seen at this time, please reach out to us ASAP so that we can get you scheduled. We are now available to schedule all patients for routine cleanings and all needed dental treatment. Please call us to schedule.

It is very important for children to see the dentist on a regular basis and it is imperative that children have their dental disease treated as soon as possible in order to prevent larger problems including pain and infection. During the COVID-19 pandemic it is our priority to do our part to keep our patients and our staff safe and healthy and to prevent the spread of COVID-19 within our community. In order to accomplish this priority we are implementing some new guidelines within our office. All of our play areas are currently closed. Video games and toys will not be available for our patients to enjoy. Books and magazines will also not be available in our waiting room or other parts of the office. We will be limiting the number of people in our offices in order to ensure that we can maintain adequate social distancing, and some seating in the waiting room will be blocked off. We ask that only one parent/guardian accompany each patient to the office. We ask that all visitors to the office over age 2, both patients and parents, bring and wear a facemask. All of our staff will be wearing face masks as well. We will be screening all patients and parents that come to our office for COVID-19. This means you will be required to complete a questionnaire regarding any potential symptoms and contacts that you have had recently, as well as have your temperature taken as you enter the office.

Infection control efforts in our offices have always been top-notch in order to prevent the spread of other common illnesses such as the flu, the common cold, and others. We will be doubling down on these efforts as well as disinfecting additional areas of the office more frequently such as waiting room seating, door handles throughout the office, and other high touch/high traffic areas. Please rest assured that you can feel safe, knowing that you can bring your child to an appointment in our office without putting your child or yourself at a higher risk for contracting COVID-19.

We look forward to seeing all of you very soon!
