Dr. Hai Huynh was born in Vietnam and came to the US when she was around 6 years old. She grew up in Cupertino, CA and dreamt of being a “kid’s doctor” since she was a child while helping her parents take care of her younger sisters as they worked hard for their children’s future. Being the first in her family to graduate from college, she received her degree in Biology and Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from the University of California, Davis. Dr. Hai moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico after college and worked as a certified pediatric dental assistant while she continued to pursue her dreams. After nearly three years, she went on to Cleveland, Ohio to obtain her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Hai knew she enjoyed working with children the most while she was in dental school and continued her training in Pediatric Dentistry at the University at Buffalo and Oishei Children’s Hospital.
Having a personal experience with dental trauma and childhood caries, Dr. Hai knows and understands dental anxiety and pain. She is passionate about helping children have positive dental experiences and healthy smiles while forming lifelong relationships with her patients based on trust, kindness, and compassion. Dr. Hai is a proponent of preventive dental care and enjoys providing dental services to children locally as well as abroad. She has traveled to Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Jamaica to provide dental services to underserved populations.
In her spare time, Dr. Hai loves spending time with her family and friends, cooking, baking, painting, hiking, traveling and providing dental services abroad.
